The SSOA welcomes new officials in all sports.  Whether your passion is basketball, baseball, football, softball, or other sports, you’ll find a home in our organization. Officials of all levels from collegiate to high school, to middle school, to youth contests can benefit from membership.

If you are interested in becoming a member or learning more about the organization, please complete the SSOA New Member Information form below. When you reach the end of the form, you will submit your information. We will then contact you to help you complete the membership process.  

Paying Annual Dues

Our membership year runs from July 1 to June 30. Fees are due by December 1 of each year or a late fee will apply.

The current fee structure is as follows:

Base fee of $20 and then $10 for each sport.

New members pay no fee for the first year, while students pay no association fees at all.

Members can pay their dues in three ways.

Option 1: via Pay Pal

When using PayPal, make sure to select “Pay Friend” and not “Pay for Service” and send payment to If you select the wrong method of payment, you will have a small balance remaining that will be due to the Association as PayPal reduces your payment to the membership by a small percentage.

Option 2: Pay by Check

Make check payable to SSOA. Payment can be made to the treasurer (currently Bryant Halverson) in person or by mail to:
